Nice shots Arala. The judges are really, "inhuman" this cycle.
This isn't a REAL modeling competition, and Beyoncee had one of the best shots this shoot. Mila's was pretty good and though she had illness it is still fair to say she had better shots than some people.
But Beyoncee's...she should of not been kicked. Personally I think she had the best shots this week and though she had a couple of rough spots on the forums this is basing off a "modeling competition" and not some show that kick's people because they had a bad attitude.
ANYWAYS!!! When are thy applications for Survivor coming?

Grenths Rejects cannot be a biased guild because I'm in it and I'm not even in these competitions. It just so happens that guilds tend to form when people make friends and have common interests. And seeings how we've had more people join after this TNTM has been going on, I think they might have common interests. Hence why you see a lot of people joining our guild.

I've been doing a good job so far keeping out of the drama, because from past experience I know that if i get involved, I can't shut up () But I do have some things to point out.
First of all, this is a competition, it is meant for fun, it is meant to teach you how to become a great in-game photographer and model, many of the judges comments do in fact help with that. The way I used to take in game photo's changed dramatically after I got into Cycle 1, I used to just zoom around and take a picture without even posing, or caring about the background and the armor choice, and now I look into all of that. Which shows that even behind rude comments, the judges do give advice.
(Example of this:
This was a shot of my necromancer that I thought looked cool, I took this a few months before I got into TNTM: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...es/necro-1.gif
And here is one I took of my ele about 3 days ago: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...eeyes/Ele3.jpg)
Second of all, I think the drama being created on this thread is ridiculous and is really taking all of the fun out of it. You shouldn't be in this to flame, you should be in this to have a good time! If your not in it to have a good time then you will learn nothing at all. And the accusations of the judges being a certain guild is also ridiculous.
I do think that some of the judges comments have went over the top, but I think the fact is, and I stated this after being eliminated after last cycle, sometimes the judges comments did NOTHING to help me, and they only made me feel bad. For example a judge once commented that my entry was sloppy. They didn't bother to explain why it was sloppy, or why they didn't like it, and I had no clue what I had done wrong. I think that when the evaluations are posted, that they should be sure to include the rights and wrongs in the photo, and not only talk about how you look like a hoochie mamma, I think that is important that this is mentioned every single week, because a huge part of this contest is the photograph, and when you only judge something based on what someone did last week and what they said in the thread, it will create the chaos that has been created here.
And regardless of what anyone says, personality does and will play a part. A next top model should be liked and should have a good personality, yes there are many models out there who are super diva, and they are still very high payed models, But in regards to what this contest is really about (The show itself) Generally the diva-status models do not win. It is important to be humble, and to listen to the critiques given. I think it would be in everyones best interest if these types of concerns were raised privately, rather then displayed all over the forums.
And you may think I don't know what I'm talking about, But I have had experience in being both a judge and a contestant, I am now the host of a Pre-Searings Next Top Model competition and I have had contestants raise concerns like this on the main thread, and it sucks. But I also know what it feels like to be the one getting the crazy critique, and being upset about it.
Hopefully this contest does not continue to go downhill like this, I had a blast while I was in it, and I think that everyone else should be able to enjoy it as well!

Alright everyone. If you haven't read Sil's post, read it. If you have, read it again.
There is to much hacking at each other going on in this thread. I personally wouldn't be surprised if a Mod came in here and banned a few of you (I personally would if I still was).
Yes, the judges make cruel comments. Yes, so do the contestants, and yes even your beloved fans that adore your pixels. I know the contestants take this serious, I would know because my girlfriend got second in the last season of this competition. She worked her ass off to got where she got too, and she took pride in what she did. I know that's how all the contestants feel.
Everyone takes pride in most of the work they do, and yes you have all the right to do it, and I encourage you to be satisfied and happy with what YOU have done to do so, and not what OTHERS have to say whether the comment is negative, or positive.
To those of you that think about quitting, I advise against it. I know theres some of you that want too, or some that already got eliminated that wanted too. You don't get anywhere in "life" by quitting, even if its just a measly video-game contests.
I'd also like to note the [GR] guild comment. No, they are in no way associated with the Judges (except for me, because I make the magazine covers). The only way they are even involved, is because they are contestants, who so far are doing a great job. So please do not point fingers at people or groups, just because you don't like them, or are trying to find someone to blame.
Now, everyone please quit with the flaming of each other, and lets attempt to get along, so this competition isn't ruined for those in it, and those that will be in it in the future (if there even is going to be one).
I'm highly interested to see the outcome of the next photo shoot. I've heard some interesting conversation on what some of these ladies are thinking about doing. Good luck to all of you that remain!
And remember, keep it civil, yes that means you too Judges.

I've been pretty lax with everything mod wise cuz I was a contestant last round and such, but I can only bend so far before I have to spring back and smack some people. =P

Well, I've been saving up, and I think I have a few cents I can add to this, none of which hasn't already been said, but its been a bad day, and I want to vent. So here goes..
To the contestants -
I am amazed at how immature some of you are acting, the comments and actions some of you (and you know who you are) are taking are just plain stupid. You may not realize it, but hosting a contest like this is VERY hard (and no Im not involved in this contest). It takes a lot of time, and a lot of patience to deal with all of you. They are doing this out of the kindness of there hearts, and what do they get in return? A few people that actually give gratitude, but for the most part, they get a bunch of people that whine because they didn't win. As I said, and which I will sum up now, grow up or shut up.
To the judges -
I commend you all on your hard work and effort in this contest. I can only imagine what it takes to hold a contest, and the time it takes you. But I really think you guys need to start taking more time in your evaluations. I remember at the beginning of cycle 1, all your critiques were quite helpful (and no I'm not a contestant from cycle 1). Now though, your critiques aren't very helpful. I've noticed that you seldom tell them how to fix what they did wrong, and some of the time (you know which times), you went way out of line in your evaluations, and were actually quite hurtful to people, whether you meant to or not. But I'm not here to tell you how to judge, just some things I've noticed over the past year, and yes, I do keep up-to-date, since the beginning of cycle 1. Once again, I would love to say, you guys have a great idea here, just need to fix a few loose ends.
Thats my 2 cents,
Timmay

Oh Beyoncee, you've seen nothing yet.
The top 5 has to judge one another, and then get judged by the judges as well.
You are a little angry because you got judged 2 times one week... imagine the top 5 when they get judged 6 times the same week.
Silhouette handled it with grace. I'm still in awe with how calm she was.
Honestly, its over, please just leave it be, I know you don't like losing (as you said yourself), but its over! Be happy! No more stress! No more weekly assignments! No more poor judgements assigned to you! Please just come to our parties and enjoy the free life, I still have yet to be pawned by you in PvP ^.^!

I said it last cycle, and I'll say it again, everyone is just loves us to death when we select the final twelve, but as soon as we start throwing you into the competition and eliminating everyone, I become public enemy number one. It's unfortunate, but that's just how it goes. No one knows that better than the Cycle 1 contestants, lord knows how many of them hated my guts post-competition, but they got over it, and hopefully some of you will too. I made great friends with them, and I still keep connections to some of them. No matter how much I prepare everyone, emotions are going to run high during the Cycle's run.
The fact is, we're not going to be able to cater to everyone's needs, some people will like our decision and some wont. No single decision we make will please everyone, and thats how it is. If we didn't eliminate Beyoncee, people will rage over Mila being eliminated, and if we didn't eliminate either and wen't with someone else, they'll rage over that too. Plain and simple.
All I can say is, the competition is still going strong. Its better to be talked about than have no one say anything at all. Any publicity is good publicity, so heeeeyyyy.
I do value everyone's criticism, so if you do want to vent, please don't do it on the thread, send a PM to me. And please, do not attack any other member of this forum, you want to criticize me, do it, but don't pick fights with other Members. That comment directed towards Jaden Stone was unnecessary. Bring your comments to me.
As always, if anyone has anything else to say, any questions and or comments, please feel free to PM me.

I totally agree with Silhouette. She's posted the best comment about the drama in this thread so far.
Personality is VERY important in contests, in any contest. No matter how talented you are, you won't get far by bashing other people publicly and generally trying to pick a fight. Frankly, I'm surprised that a person with a temper like that was allowed to stay on this long - I feel that all the drama that started because of it has really changed the entire mood of the contest for the worse. Hopefully things will calm down now and the rest of the competition will run smoother.
Anyway, I've done enough venting. If I feel the need to do more, I'll send a PM instead.
Oooh, I love the idea of the next assignment! And congrats to Arala for winning MOTW! You had the best shots that round definitely. There were some really stunning shots from other models too, but most people didn't quite get a good shot for both of the pictures. Still, I very much enjoyed seeing what people came up with.

*Sigh* I was thinking about writing a lot of stuff but I'm just gonna let it be! Man, too much hassle. Everyone has already done such a good job venting so I'm just gonna sit back and help myself to a cup of something cold. XD I don't remember what I've said here in the past, since my brains don't record that far(lol blonde..). But if I've offended someone with my comments then I'm sorry. I rarely throw in crits because I've been drawing on the 'net for so many years that I've had more than my fair share of it. If I didn't like someones stuff I wouldn't even bother with crits so it's quite the opposite.
P.S.
Harrassing someone ingame for something happening in the forums is one of the most childish and resentful things I can think of. Ingame most people want to PLAY and have fun. Please keep that in mind everyone.
P.P.S.
PLZ invite me to PARTY next tyem k. I can't play GW atm since I'm at my parents house bohoo.

I don't know any of you or any of your guilds, so no personal bias here - I just wanted to chime in since I just read the thread front to back, and saw far more accusations of drama and flaming than actual drama and flaming. In fact, the vast majority of contestants and commentators are far more civil than they ought to be, given some of the wretched things said by the judges. Yes yes, it's a cruel world, the modeling community, but it's important for the judges to remember that this is not, in fact, the modeling community. These are your peers, not your employees. These are your friends, not your personal verbal abuse toys. Your anonymity is not a free pass to be senselessly mean. 'Screening' entries and 'preparing' people for criticism isn't either.
I have judged and won screenshot contests for another game many times, and I would be utterly embarrassed to, first, say such nasty things about the entries, and second, to actually post such nasty things for the artist to see, let alone for public view. You've no right to complain if drama or hurt feelings arise over this 'game' of yours, since the entire contest seems intentionally organized to be dramatic, hurtful, and casually cruel. The integrity of the judging - based strictly on the judges' decisions and comments, since we have no information about their actual credentials - is questionable, and that has the unintended side-effect of undermining the whole competition - which is really very sad, since that will tend to negate the beautiful entries of talented artists. (And I'm not just talking about the political ousting of Beyoncee, which is astonishingly transparent, however deserved).
I very much hope that the next such competition enlists the aid of reviewers who can post relevant, constructive criticism as to the art, rather than seeing who can get in the snarkiest, meanest one-liner, as though they were TV icons with a hardcore image to maintain. If not, then we should continue expecting the same reaction from both model and lurker. In the meantime, perhaps you moderators could hold these nameless judges to the same standard of forum conduct with which you're threatening the rest of us. Not only do they contribute to it, they provoke it in the first place, yet ironically seem unwilling to accept public criticism themselves.
